The airport handles 558,000 passengers per year, flying on more than 330 scheduled flights each week throughout the UK. Daily flights operate to London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast, plus Stornoway in the Western Isles, Kirkwall in Orkney, and Sumburgh in Shetland. Holiday charter flights also depart from the airport for such sunny climes as Majorca, Madeira, Malta, Sardinia and Cyprus. Hours of operation are generally 6:30 to 22:00.Airport parking at InvernessParking is available for 650 vehicles in a car park located just outside the terminal. Fees are €1.50 (£1) every 30 minutes for the first hour, with rates then gradually declining up to a daily rate of €9 (£6). There is no separate long-term car park; each additional day is charged at the daily rate.Getting to and from InvernessInverness Airport is located just off the A96 roadway which leads southwest to Inverness, a 15-minute drive. To the northeast, the road runs along the Moray Firth to Nairn, Forres and Elgin. Highland Country buses operate out of the airport, running to Queensgate in Inverness city centre (from 10:00 until 21:00 on most days) as well as other area destinations. Central Highland taxis also provide service from the airport.Amenities at Inverness AirportFacilities are somewhat limited. There is an ATM; a shop selling newspapers, periodicals and travel-related items; a landside restaurant and bar, which is open during flight operations; and an airside bar/café, open from 11:00 to 18:00.
