Click here for an airport parking quotation Vigo Airport (VGO) informationIntroductionThe airport is located 9 kilometres from the city of Vigo on Spain’s northwest coast, and 28 kilometres from the provincial capital of Pontevedra. The airport serves as one of the main gateways to Spain’s Galicia region, as well as to the northern part of Portugal. The two-level terminal handles about 800,000 passengers per year. Most of the airport’s scheduled international flights first pass through Madrid. Primary domestic connections are with Madrid, Alicante and Mallorca.Airport parking at VigoA 546-space car park is located directly opposite the terminal building. The short-term (express) parking area has a capacity of 22 vehicles. The first 10 minutes are free; thereafter the first half-hour costs €2, and each additional half-hour €3. Long-term rates are as follows: first 30 minutes free; first hour, €0.83; each additional hour, €0.65; 24-hour rate, €6.57; each additional day, €3.29.Getting to and from VigoAutomobile access to the airport is via the N-556 roadway (from Vigo), the N-555 (from Redondela), and the N-120 (from Ourense). The first two also connect with the A-9 Atlantic Motorway leading to Pontevedra and Portugal. Buses run to the Vigo city centre (Matama parish) every 30 minutes between 6:00 and 23:00; on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, buses run every hour. The fare is €0.87. Taxis are available outside the terminal, and charge about €15 for trips within the municipal districts of Vigo, Redondela and Mos.Amenities at Vigo AirportThree ATM machines are located on the arrival/departure level of the terminal, in addition to a post office. The airport has a café and a cafeteria for casual dining. Shops feature souvenirs, gifts, toys, foodstuffs, magazines and books.
