Valencia International Airport (VLC) information

Introduction

The airport is located 8 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Valencia, on Spain’s Mediterranean coast. The three-level terminal accommodates more than 2 million passengers per annum. International flights arrive primarily from the UK, Germany, France and Italy. Major domestic links are with Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca and Ibiza.

Airport parking at Valencia

A large car park is located across from the terminal. Hourly rates are about €1, with a day rate of €7.50. A monthly pass is €90. A pick-up and drop-off area is located outside the terminal entrance.

Getting to and from Valencia

Road access to the airport is via the N-220 national roadway, which connects with the N-335 and the A-3 toll road. Buses run about once an hour between the airport and Valencia city centre, from 5:00 to 23:40. Check with the airport information desk for current timetables. The 45-minute trip costs €0.90. There is a large taxi rank outside the terminal building. The fare to Valencia city centre is about €12.

Amenities at Valencia Airport

The airport has two ATM machines, a currency exchange booth and a post office. Four cafés offer casual dining options. There are both duty-free and regular shopping outlets, featuring perfumes, jewellery, fashions, gifts, sweets and other foodstuffs. Other shops include a newsstand, a delicatessen and a pharmacy. There are two VIP lounges, equipped with standard telecommunications equipment, located on the departures level of the terminal. Limited conference facilities, which must be booked in advance, are available at the airport’s business centre. Eight travel agencies and two tour operators have desks at the airport to assist with further travel arrangements.

Information desks are located on both the arrival and departure levels of the terminal. There is also a tourist information booth on the arrivals level.
