The two-level terminal handles 1.3 million passengers per annum, most of the traffic being domestic flights to and from Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca and Tenerife. International connections are primarily with the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland and France.Airport parking at SantiagoThe car park directly opposite the terminal building will accommodate 1,064 vehicles, both short-term and long-term. In the short-term parking section, the first 30 minutes are free; thereafter the rates are €1.05 for the first hour and €0.70 for each additional hour up to the 24-hour rate of €6.95.Getting to and from SantiagoAutomobile access to the airport is via the N-547 national roadway linking Santiago de Compostela with Lugo. The airport is also accessible from the A-9 Atlantic Motorway. Travel time between the airport and Santiago is about 15 minutes. Buses travel almost hourly between the airport and Santiago’s main bus station, a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Buses also run between the airport and Lugo, from 7:00 to 20:00 daily except Saturday. Consult the airport’s information desk for current timetables. By taxi, the 15-minute drive to Santiago’s “Old Town” costs about €15.Amenities at Santiago AirportTwo ATM machines and a bank can be found on the terminal’s arrivals level. There is also a currency exchange booth and a post office. One café is available for casual dining. Seven shops offer a selection of local foodstuffs, souvenirs, gifts and toys, as well as duty-free liquor, tobacco, cosmetics and perfumes.
