San Sebastián Airport (EAS) information

Introduction

This modern airport is situated 22kms northeast of San Sebastián, near the town of Hondarribia (formerly known as Fuenterrabia) on the Bay of Biscay within sight of France. San Sebastián Airport serves as a main gateway to the Basque region of northern Spain, as well as to Biarritz and other areas near southwest France’s Atlantic coast. A single, two-level terminal handles about 150,000 passengers per year. Most scheduled flights are domestic connections to Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga.

Airport parking at San Sebastián

Free parking is available for up to 584 vehicles. The main car park is located directly opposite the terminal building; a secondary car park is to the right of the terminal. There is a pick-up and drop-off area immediately outside the terminal entrance.

Getting to and from San Sebastián

The N-638 roadway links the airport with the N1, which runs westward to San Sebastián and eastward to France. The trip to San Sebastián takes about 20 minutes by car. Buses stop on the airport road about 30 metres from the terminal, and depart every 20 minutes for Irún (fare, €0.95) and San Sebastián’s Plaza de Guipúzcoa (€1.45). A taxi rank is located just outside the terminal. Approximate fares from the airport are: to Irún, €7; to San Sebastián, €26; and to Biarritz, €50.

Amenities at San Sebastián Airport

An ATM and a post office are located on the arrivals level of the terminal. The airport gift shop offers travel-related items, souvenirs, newspapers and magazines. Light refreshments are available at the airport’s café, which is open in conjunction with flight timetables. A VIP lounge has limited business and telecommunications facilities.
