Reus Airport (REU) information

Introduction

The airport is located three kilometres southeast of Reus, and about 13 kilometres northwest of Tarragona. It serves as an alternate airport for Barcelona, 78 kilometres to the northeast, and is the gateway to Spain’s scenic Costa Daurada. The single-level terminal handles about 800,000 passengers per year. International charter flights, mainly from the UK and Germany, arrive primarily during the May-October high season. Nearly all of the domestic scheduled flights are to and from Madrid.

Amenities at Reus Airport

The terminal has one ATM machine, as well as a currency exchange booth. One café is located on the arrivals level. The airport has two shops: one selling sweets and souvenirs, and the other (duty-free) offering watches, perfumes, sunglasses, tobacco, foodstuffs and gifts. Three tour operators have desks at the airport to assist with further travel arrangements. There is also a first-aid station and a children’s play area.

An information counter is located in the terminal near the arrivals gate.

Getting to and from Reus

The N-420 national highway connects the airport with both Reus and Tarragona. The trip to or from Reus takes 10 to 15 minutes, and Tarragona between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic and time of year. Buses to Reus and Barcelona depart from outside the arrivals area according to flight timetables. The 25-minute trip to Reus costs €2; the 1½-hour trip to Barcelona, €11 (€18 return). Buses also leave for the Costa Daurada four times per day, from 10:00 to 21:20. Taxis are available outside the terminal building, and run to Reus (€15), Tarragona (€18), and other locations along the coast.
