With flights to more than 60 worldwide destinations, the airport handles nearly 12 million passengers per year. Two terminals, 1 and 2, are adjacent to one another and are connected internally.Airport parking at MálagaShort-term car parks for more than 1,400 vehicles are located outside both terminals. Rates are €1.22 for the first hour, €0.89 each additional hour, and a day rate of €9.05. Long-term parking is available in the Terminal 1 car park.Getting to and from MálagaDriving from the airport, take the left lane of the access road for Málaga, Nerja and points east, following the signs to the N-340 coast road. Take the right lane to join the N-340 coast road heading west, to Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella and Ronda. Rail service connects the airport with Málaga (journey time 12 minutes) and Fuengirola (29 minutes). Trains depart approximately every half-hour from outside the departures area, a few minutes’ outdoor walk beyond the car park; the one-way fare is about €3. You must purchase a ticket from one of the machines before you board the train. Buses for Málaga leave from just outside the international arrivals hall every 30 minutes, from 7:00 until 24:00. The cost is about €1. There is also a bus service to Marbella, departing every 45 minutes between 5:30 and 23:45. The 45-minute journey costs €3.68. Taxis depart from outside both terminals for Málaga city centre (about a 20-minute drive, €12); Torremolinos (€9); Fuengirola (€23); Marbella (€47); and other destinations (approximately €1 per kilometre). Fares are slightly higher on nights and weekends.Amenities at Málaga AirportATMs can be found in both terminals, with a bank located on the arrivals level of Terminal 2 (open from 9:00 to 19:30). More than 20 shopping outlets, as well as a selection of cafés and bars, are located in the Centro Comercial on the second floor (departures) of Terminal 2, and in the Central Plaza of Terminal 1. Goods include food and wine, fashions, perfumes, cosmetics, books and magazines. For business travellers, fax and telephone facilities are available in either of the two VIP lounges. Although there is no dedicated business centre, meeting rooms may be reserved by contacting the airport’s business manager in advance.Information booths are located on the arrivals level of both terminals, and on the departures level of Terminal 2.
