Lanzarote Airport (ACE) information

Introduction

The airport is situated five kilometres from Arrecife, the capital city of the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. More than 5.5 million passengers pass through the airport annually, making it the third-busiest airport in the island chain. About 75 percent of the international traffic originates in the UK and Germany, with the balance coming primarily from Netherlands and Scandinavia. There are also domestic connections to mainland Spain (Madrid). Inter-island flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife North leave from a second, adjoining terminal.

Airport parking at Lanzarote

There are 1,120 spaces available at the airport. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes, then based on an hourly rate thereafter.

Getting to and from Lanzarote

The Autovia Arrecife-Yaiza (LZ-2) connects the the airport and Arrecife. Buses operate to and from the Arrecife/Playa Honda bus station every 30 minutes (fare, €0.90). The airport bus stop is just outside the arrivals area. Taxi ranks are also located there. By taxi, the trip to Arrecife takes about five minutes, and costs €8. To Playa Blanca the fare is €31; to Órzola, €37.

Amenities at Lanzarote Airport

Six ATMs are located throughout the airport, and there is a currency exchange bureau at the Travel 2000 office in departures, on the second floor. Dining facilities include restaurants, bars, fast-food outlets and a cafeteria. Shops selling jewelry, clothing and local products are found mostly in the departures area. There is a pharmacy, as well as a first-aid station on the arrivals level.

The Guacimeta VIP Lounge is equipped with business facilities including internet access. Fax and photocopying services are available at the lottery outlet on the main concourse.

An information desk on the departures floor is manned by green-jacketed airport staff, ready to assist travellers. Tourist information is provided at the Lanzarote Island Council’s booth on the arrivals level of the terminal (telephone +34 (0) 928 846 073).
