The two-level terminal is located only five kilometers from the capital city of Puerto del Rosario, and is convenient to every part of Fuerteventura island, the second-largest of the Canary Islands at 98 kilometres long by 30 kilometres wide.Airport Parking at FuerteventuraDirectly opposite the terminal building is a car park with 400 short-term and 500 long-term spaces. A drop-off and pick-up area is right outside the terminal’s main entrance.Getting to and from FuerteventuraFrom Puerto del Rosario, the airport may be reached via the FV-1 highway, a 10-minute trip (cars drive on the right). Two primary bus routes service the airport: Number 3 runs hourly on the Puerto del Rosario/Airport/Caleta de Fuste route; Number 10 runs three times per day (Monday through Saturday) on the Airport/Caleta de Fuste/Gran Tarajal/Costa Calma route. Timetables are available at the airport information desk. Taxis are plentiful and may be found directly outside the arrivals area. Rates are posted prominently: the 45-minute drive to Corralejo costs about €33; to Gran Tarajal, about €43.Amenities at Fuerteventura AirportThere are two ATM machines on the arrivals level of the terminal, and one on the departures level. An impressive array of duty-free and regular shopping outlets offer travellers perfumes and cosmetics, alcohol and tobacco, clothing, electronics and more. English and German newspapers, magazines and books are readily available. The airport has a good assortment of restaurants, cafes and bars. A pharmacy and small medical-care facility may be found on the departures concourse. At last count, 55 tour operators (plus car rental agencies) have booths at the airport to aid with travel plans while on the island.Six information desks are located around the terminal, on both the departure and arrival levels.
