The airport serves more then eight million passengers annually. A single, three-level terminal caters to international travellers arriving mainly from the UK, Netherlands and Germany. There are also several daily flights to and from Madrid, plus weekly flights connecting Alicante with Barcelona, Seville, Malaga and Ibiza.Airport Parking at AlicanteTwo car parks comprise a total of 1,500 spaces. The main parking area directly across from the terminal building offers short-term parking, as well as spaces for disabled passengers. A second car park for long-term parking is to the right of the terminal. Costa Blanca Plaza, the airport’s shopping and entertainment centre, offers a selection of bars, cafes, restaurants and fast-food outlets, together with a variety of duty-free and regular shops including a newsagent/tobacconist. There is also a 24-hour first-aid service and pharmacy. The IFACH VIP lounge on the departures level offers internet access, telephone, fax and photocopying services for business-class passengers. Travel agents, tour operators and car-rental firms also have outlets in the airport. Getting to and from AlicanteThe main road access from Alicante city centre is via the N-332 national motorway (alternatively, the N-340). By car, the nine-kilometre journey takes approximately 15 minutes, 30 minutes during rush hour. From Benidorm, 100 kilometres to the northeast, take the Autopista (toll road) A-7.Buses run every hour to and from the Alicante central bus station; buses to Benidorm and Murcia depart four times a day.
