The terminal, which is presently undergoing renovations, is situated 11kms northwest of Porto city centre. Approximately 3 million passengers per year pass through the airport.Airport parking at PortoThe airport has four car parks: P and P1 in front of the terminal, and P3 and P4 north of the terminal. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes in all except car park P. Rates for car park P are €0.70 for 30 minutes, and €12.75 per day. Rates in P1 are €1.10 per hour, and €10.70 per day. For long-term parking in P3/P4, fees are €0.80 per hour, with a daily rate of €6.10.Getting to and from PortoFrancisco Sá Carneiro Airport is situated just off the IC1 highway, which leads southward directly into Porto, and northward along the Atlantic coast to Viana do Castelo and Vigo, in Spain. City buses operate between the airport and Porto, as well as many other area destinations. The one-way fare into Porto is €1.20; to Vigo, €8.65. Aerobus shuttles also provide connections to locations within Porto city centre, departing every 30 minutes; the fare is €4. Taxis depart from outside the terminal 24 hours a day, running to Porto (fare, €13.50) and other locations along the coast.Amenities at Porto - Francisco Sá Carneiro AirportATMs can be found in the arrivals and departures areas of the terminal. Also located in the arrivals area is a bank and a currency exchange booth, plus a post office. Products on offer at the airport shops include local handicrafts, fashions, electronics and books. An assortment of bars, cafés and restaurants offer a good selection of food and drinks. Ten travel agencies or tour operators maintain desks at the airport. Conference rooms for up to 35 persons may be booked through the airport’s business office. There are also three VIP lounges equipped with basic telecommunications facilities. |
