Haugesund International Airport is located in the remote southwest of Norway on the northwest coast of Karm Island and it provides fast access to the island from the capital of Oslo and overseas. The airport is located eight miles west of the city of Haugesend, which itself is situated on the mainland. There is one terminal that handles a commendable 400,000 people per year and the airport only opens during the day.
