A single large terminal caters to both international and domestic passengers. About 4.5 million travellers utilize the airport each year. In addition to domestic flights, the airport offers connections with Australia and other international destinations such as Fiji, Singapore and Los Angeles.Airport parking at ChristchurchParking is complimentary for the first 20 minutes. Following that, rates are as follows: €0.57 for 30 minutes, €1.70 per hour for the first 2 hours, and €0.57 per hour afterwards, up to a daily rate of €8.87. The weekly rate is €26.60. The car park is situated directly in front of the terminal building.Getting to and from ChristchurchIf driving from Cathedral Square in Christchurch city centre, the route to the airport is via Columbo Street, then left onto Bealey Street and Harper Avenue. Next, turn right onto Fendalton Avenue and continue on past Hagley Park to Memorial Avenue. The airport is just beyond the roundabout. Public buses run to and from the city centre, leaving every 30 minutes. Journey time is 30 to 40 minutes, and the fare is €4. Shuttle buses also offer door-to-door service to all parts of Christchurch for about €7 to €10 per person. Taxis are readily available as well, and charge a fare of €14 for the 20-minute trip into the city.Amenities at Christchurch International AirportThe terminal has three ATMs, plus banking and currency exchange facilities. Shops in the airport offer an assortment of New Zealand wines and foods, perfumes, clothing, gifts and more. There is also a newsagent/bookshop, a florist, a pharmacy and a post office. Four cafés and a bar offer casual dining and refreshments.
