International flights are offered to destinations across Asia, Europe and North America. Nearly 9 million passengers pass through the airport each year. There are three terminals one for international flights and two for domestic which are connected by walkways as well as a courtesy shuttle bus.Airport parking at AucklandCar parks are situated in front of each terminal. The short-term car parks (uncovered) at each terminal charge fees of 1.13 for every 20 minutes, and 1.70 per hour after the first hour. Secure long-term parking, within 150 metres of the international terminal, is offered for 7.35 per day (uncovered) or 9 per day (covered). A premium covered car park at the domestic terminal charges 5.65 per hour, or 18 per day. For quick drop-off or pick-up of passengers, space is provided at the terminal entrances. Complimentary parking is available for vehicles with a disability sticker, for expectant mothers and people with babies.Getting to and from AucklandBy car from Auckland, take the Southern Motorway (Route 1) and exit at Gillies Avenue. Airbus service between the airport and the city centre operates every 20 to 30 minutes. The one-way fare is 8.50. Taxis and shared-ride shuttle buses depart from the west side of the international terminal, and from in front of the domestic terminals. Taxi fare to Auckland city centre is about 22. Helicopter service is available as well.Amenities at Auckland International AirportATMs can be found throughout the airport, and banks with bureaux de change are located in the international terminal. More than 100 shops offer duty-free and other items such as jewellery, lingerie, chocolates, fashions, art work, and New Zealand handicrafts and woolens. Twelve cafés, bars and fast-food outlets are located throughout the international and domestic terminals. Entertainment options include a museum featuring New Zealand culture, along with Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, on the top floor of the international terminal. There are also video games and rides for youngsters in the ground floor arrivals area of the international terminal. A business centre in the domestic terminal has meeting rooms available for hire.
