More than 17 million passengers annually travel through the airport on flights to and from most major European cities; on transatlantic connections to New York, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and other key cities in the Americas; and on flights to the Middle East, Japan and other Asian destinations. The airport’s two terminals are named Malpensa West (Terminal 1) and Malpensa North (Terminal 2). Frequent shuttle buses link the terminals.Airport parking at Milan Malpensa International AirportA total of 9,000 parking spaces are available at the airport. Car parks for Terminal 1 are: P1, with indoor multilevel parking; and P2, for long-term outdoor parking. Rates for P1 are: €9 for up to 6 hours; €16 for up to 12 hours; and €20 for 24 hours. Rates for P2: €3.50 for 1 hour; €4 for 2 hours; €7 for 6 hours; €12 for 12 hours; €15 for 24 hours; and €70 weekly. Terminal 1 also offers “Top Car” parking for valuable vehicles at rates of €16 for 12 hours, and a daily rate of €24. At Terminal 2, outdoor parking rates are €4 for 2 hours; €6 for 6 hours; €9 for 12 hours; and €13 for 24 hours. Indoor rates are about €2 higher. Both terminals also offer short-term parking for €0.60 every 15 minutes.Getting to and from Milan Malpensa International AirportFrom Milan, take the A8 motorway; at Busto Arsizio, exit onto SS-336 to Malpensa. Trains depart from Terminal 1 to Milan’s Cadorna station every 30 minutes Monday through Friday; journey time is 40 minutes. The fare is €9 if purchased in advance, €11.50 on the train. Twice-hourly buses connect the airport with Milan city centre, from 5:15 until 21:15; the fare is €5.50. Taxis are readily available as well, and will transport passengers to Milan in less than an hour.Amenities at Milan Malpensa International AirportA number of ATMs are located throughout the airport, as well as banks and currency exchange booths. First aid is available in both terminals, and there is a chapel in Terminal 2. Several shops sell a wide range of products, including duty-free.
