A new international terminal, Terminal 3, was completed in late 2004. The airport handles more than 8 million passengers per year, the vast majority of whom are international travellers. Most of the parking spaces are non-roofed. Fees are €4.50 per day (or €7.15 per day under roof).Getting to and from Tel Aviv – Ben GurionThe airport lies just off Route 1, which links Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel Railways operates train service to Tel Aviv, Haifa and Nahariya. Hours of service are 3:00 until midnight. The train station is located on level S, adjacent to the Greeter’s Hall. Public buses depart from Terminal 3 on the second level, next to gates 21 and 23. Buses also stop at the other terminals, and continue on to various regional destinations including Tel Aviv’s central bus and railway stations (journey time, approximately 30 minutes), Jerusalem (45 minutes) and Haifa. A taxi rank and dispatcher’s station are situated on level G of the Multi-Level Road, near exit 3 of the Greeter’s Hall. Shared taxis are also available to Jerusalem and Haifa city centres; the fare for each person is about €6.Amenities at Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion AirportFacilities include 24-hour banks, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus and a post office. There is also a first-aid clinic, a nursery and a synagogue. Duty-free and regular shopping is offered in the Rotunda and at the Buy & Bye Shopping Mall in Terminal 3. Items for sale include fashions and sportswear, watches, gifts, toys and sweets. Twelve cafés and fast-food establishments serve an assortment of light meals, coffee and juices.
