Information on Israel Airports
Click here for an airport parking quotation Israel AirportsDespite being located in an area of seemingly unending strife, Israel is still a popular tourist destination that encompasses the most holy of sites. There is only really one way to get to Israel and that is by flying to Tel Aviv on a return ticket. Once in Israel, travelling around is quite painless, with several airports dotted around the country, a small rail network and extensive bus routes. Jerusalem is Israel’s largest religious centre and the country’s biggest single attraction, with its historic core being loaded with prominent sights. In contrast to Jerusalem, the capital of Tel Aviv is crammed with trendy coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Tel Aviv is situated on the Mediterranean coast and boasts some fine bathing beaches where snorkelling can be enjoyed. Other major sights in Israel include Bethlehem and the Dead Sea, the lowest body of water on earth. In addition, Mount Hermon in the northeast of the country is Israel’s highest mountain and in the winter it attracts hordes of skiers and snowboarders to its slopes. Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport is located about 12 miles southeast of Tel Aviv and it has two terminals that receive flights from most major centres apart from Asia and Australia. The terminals are linked by shuttle bus, while local buses run to Jerusalem and other cities throughout the day. Taxis are also available. Once in Tel Aviv, trains and buses run to the town of Haifa and other destinations across the country. There are only a few international airports in Israel that accept European and North American flights and flying on a return ticket is advisable as one-way flights out of the country are difficult to obtain.About Essential Travel airport parkingEssential Travel provides airport parking for all major UK airports.
