The airport is situated 6kms north of Dublin city centre. Flights to the UK account for half of the airport’s traffic – the Dublin-London route is the busiest scheduled route in Europe – and there are extensive connections to the rest of Europe as well as transatlantic destinations. A single terminal handles both domestic and international flights.Airport parking at DublinDublin Airport offers both short- and long-term parking, with more than 18,000 spaces in total. All car parks are open 24 hours a day, and are regularly patrolled by airport police. In the short-term car park directly opposite the terminal, fees are €1.50 for 30 minutes, with a 10-24 hour rate of €30. The long-term car park is along the east perimeter of the airport, and is connected to the terminal by a complimentary shuttle bus. Daily rates (24 hours from time of entry) here are €8.50.Getting to and from DublinThe airport is situated near the M50 and M1 motorways, which allow easy access to Dublin city centre. More than 700 buses serve the airport daily, connecting with all parts of the greater Dublin area and beyond. Licensed taxis can be found at a taxi rank outside the arrivals hall. Typical fares into the city are €18-€22.Amenities at Dublin AirportEssential facilities include a bank in the departures concourse, and several ATMs and currency exchange outlets located throughout the terminal. There is a post office in the car park atrium. The airport’s Church of Our Lady Queen of Heaven is situated one minute’s walk from the terminal. Dublin Airport’s “The Street” shopping area contains 25 shops offering a variety of duty-free and regular goods, including Irish crystal.
