Information on Hungary Airports
Click here for an airport parking quotation Hungary AirportsLocated in southeastern Europe, Hungary is a landlocked country that is about the same size as the Czech Republic. With its fairly central location within Eastern Europe and near the Middle East, Hungary is well fed by international airlines and the international airport at Budapest receives flights from overseas by the dozen. Hungary boasts unique towns and cities filled with Baroque architecture and some of the most striking landscapes in all of Europe. Hungary also boasts a significant history and was formerly part of the Austro-Hungarian Hapsburg Empire. The capital of Budapest is situated on the beautiful Danube River and comes with leafy parks and plentiful attractions. Located in the far southwest of Hungary, Pécs is loaded with monuments and is known throughout the arts world for its opera and ballet. Apart from the theatre, highlights here include the 16th-century Mosque Church, the Jewish quarter and the city’s wonderful museums. Hungary’s countryside is also something to be appreciated, scattered as it is with charming towns and villages and impressive scenery. Lake Balaton is also a big attraction in the summer. About five-million passengers pass through Budapest-Ferihegy International Airport every year. Major scheduled and charter carriers fly from here to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North America. The airport’s terminals are connected by a covered walkway, while mini and regular buses run to the city and its main railway station. There are only two other airports in Hungary that offer international flights. Hungary is a small country and its excellent roads make road travel easy; therefore, the lack of domestic flights isn’t much of a problem. Travelling by rail can be slow as services are dated, although trains do run to and from London, Istanbul and other major destinations. Buses are quicker than Hungary’s trains and bus routes are more comprehensive than the rail network.Essential Travel airport parkingEssential travel can provide airport parking at all major UK airports.
