Click here for an Cheap Airport Parking quotation Budapest - Ferihegy International Airport (BUD) InformationIntroductionBudapest’s airport, which handles 5 million passengers each year, is located 24kms southeast of the Hungarian capital city. Scheduled flights go to and from the major cities of eastern Europe, as well as all other parts of Europe plus the Middle East. There are also direct international connections with more distant locales such as New York and Beijing. Two three-level terminals, 2A and 2B, are connected by a covered walkway. (Terminal 1 is undergoing reconstruction.) Terminal 2A is reserved primarily for MALEV flights, while all other airlines use Terminal 2B.Airport parking at BudapestThree car parks, all of which are open 24 hours a day, service the terminals. For very short stay parking (1 hour maximum), the car park nearest the terminal buildings charges €0.50 every 15 minutes. Short- and medium-term parking is offered in an unguarded car park. Here parking is free for the first 20 minutes, then €1.20 per hour for the first 4 hours, and €0.60 per hour after that. A guarded, long-term car park has fees of €14.40 per day and €77 per week, with somewhat lower rates for longer stays.Getting to and from BudapestAn airport expressway connects with Route 4 (Ūllõi út), which leads directly into the city centre. Local express bus number 93 runs between the terminals and Budapest’s underground metro terminus, Kõbánya Kispest. From there, underground trains run to major stations in the city centre, including Deák Ferenc tér. Minibus service is also available to any address in Budapest; tickets are sold at a desk in the arrivals hall. Taxis at the airport are unregulated, so those desiring to travel by taxi are advised to be certain that the taxi meter is on, or that the fare is negotiated in advance.Amenities at Budapest - Ferihegy International AirportA bank and two ATMs are located in Terminal 2B, and there are currency exchange bureaus in both terminals. Terminal 2A has a post office; Terminal 2B has a chapel and the airport’s Cirrus VIP Lounge, which offers internet, telecommunications and other facilities for a €15 fee. Duty-free shopping is available in both terminals. There are also shops selling newspapers, tobacco and souvenirs. Each terminal has two restaurants and two coffee shops, plus there is a bar in Terminal 2B. The airport also has an open-air aircraft exhibition, with a collection of significant types of aircraft used by Hungarian civil aviation over the years.About Essential Travel airport parkingEssential Travel specialises in airport parking at all major UK airports.
