Nearly 1 million passengers annually pass through the airport’s single three-level terminal, flying to and from some 44 destinations including London, Paris and Mallorca.Airport parking at Dortmund AirportSix car parks (designated P1, P2, P4, P5, P6 and P7) contain more than 3,600 spaces. Covered parking is offered in P1 (three-level) and P2, which are nearest the terminal building. About 100 short-term spaces are available at €3 per hour. For the remaining 1,800 spaces, rates are €2 per hour, up to a day rate of €14. Car parks P4-P7, farther from the terminal, are designed for long-term parking and are connected to the terminal by a free shuttle bus service. Rates here are €1 per hour, with a day rate of €5 (indoor) or €4 (outdoor, in P6 and P7). Weekly rates are €35 indoor, and €22 outdoor.Getting to and from Dortmund AirportThe airport is situated just off the B1/A44 motorway, which leads directly into Dortmund city centre. A few kilometres east is the junction with the A1 autobahn, which travels northward to Münster and Bremen, and southward to Cologne. North of the airport, the east-west A2 (Hannover-Essen) autobahn connects with the A1. A non-stop shuttle bus links Dortmund Airport with the city’s central bus station, which is opposite the main railway station. The journey lasts 25 minutes and costs €5. Shuttle buses also depart every 15 minutes for Holzwickede train station, south of the airport. Travel time is about 5 minutes, and the fare is €1.Amenities at Dortmund AirportATMs and currency exchange facilities are available at the Volksbank and Stadtsparkasse banks located in the terminal. The airport has one duty-free shop, and two other shops selling newspapers, souvenirs and sweets. Dining options consist of a small café, and a restaurant on the terminal’s third level terrace.
