Click here for an airport parking quotation London Stansted Airport (STN) InformationIntroductionLondon Stansted Airport is one of the UK’s busiest airports, serving approximately 14 million passengers per annum, with more than 40 airlines traveling to 100 destinations. Despite its stature as a major transport centre for London and the Midlands, Stansted is a spacious airport that is far less chaotic than Heathrow or Gatwick, and mainly handles flights headed for European destinations. The airport has only one terminal dealing with both domestic and international flights.Airport Parking at LondonShort- and long-term parking is available, with relevant rates offered according to the length of stay. Pre-booked parking is also available and highly recommended, especially during the summer months. Those that do not pre-book parking may have a difficult time securing the parking space they would like to have.Getting to and from LondonStansted Airport is located next to junction 8A of the M11 motorway, and less than 20 minutes away from junction 27 of the M25 motorway. Driving from London to Stansted takes approximately an hour or more, depending on traffic congestion. Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire can be accessed via the A505 and A414, while East Anglia can be reached via the A11, A12 and A120. The A1 and A14 lead to the North and Midlands.London Stansted has its own train station, and Stansted Express services run from London Liverpool street station (east London) every 15 minutes from 08:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and every 30 minutes in the early morning, evening weekdays and weekends, taking approximately 40 minutes to reach the airport. From London Stansted the first service begins at 06:00 every day and the final train departs at 23:59. The Airbus A6 departs from the airport every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, stopping at frequent North London destinations. The Jetlink services run regularly to local and northern towns. Taxis are available, but expensive if you intend taking one all the way to London. Amenities at London Stansted AirportATMs and exchange bureaux are distributed throughout the airport, with some offering 24-hour services. A left luggage facility is available and also deals with queries about lost property.Duty-free shops are available to departing passengers flying to destinations outside the EU, and numerous other retail outlets are located throughout the airport, including Boots, HMV and the Tie Rack. A number of self-service restaurants and two bars are located in the Departures hall, and additional eateries are to be found in the Arrivals area. Stansted meets the EU standards for provision for disabled passengers, with special needs facilities located throughout.
