Humberside International Airport (HUY) information

Introduction

Humberside International is a modern, one-terminal airport that is conveniently situated near the M180 motorway, making it easily accessible. Humberside is served by flights travelling to and from major destinations across the UK and Europe, with additional transatlantic connections via Amsterdam. Year round charter flights serve airports throughout the Mediterranean.

Airport Parking at Humberside

A drive-through area is located just outside the terminal for passengers being dropped off or picked up. Short-term parking spaces are situated in car park 1, while long-term parking is offered in car parks 2 and 3. Disabled passengers are also well catered for, with specially allocated parking spaces within easy accessibility of the terminal building. Pre-booking long-term parking is recommended.

Getting to and from Humberside

Humberside International is located just off the A18, between the towns of Grimsby and Scunthorpe and close to New Barnetby. The airport can be reached via major motorway M180, turning off at junction 5 on to the A18 towards Grimsby.

Direct train services run to Doncaster from Barnetby railway station, approximately five kilometres from the airport. Connections run from Doncaster to most other major towns and cities across the UK.

Buses travel daily to and from the airport, with the Stagecoach 909 and 910 services running to Sheffield and Grimsby via Doncaster and Scunthorpe. Buses run hourly between Monday and Saturday and every two hours on Sundays.

Amenities at Humberside International Airport

Humberside is well equipped with modern passenger facilities, including a bureau de change and banking services offered by Travelex, duty-free shopping for international passengers, a travel agency and a children’s play area. Regular shopping is available at Bookplus, and business/conference facilities are offered at the Kirmington Suite.

The Café Bar is located in the Departures lounge and offers drinks and light meals, while Brophy’s Restaurant in the main terminal area serves a selection of hot and cold meals.

The information desk is situated in the main concourse, and provides information and assistance related to flights, transport, left luggage, accommodation and more. Disabled passengers are well catered for, with special ramps, toilets and telephones at their disposal.
