Bristol International Airport (BIA) information

Introduction

One of the UK’s fastest growing airports, Bristol International Airport serves more than three million passengers per year heading to around 50 international destinations, including Europe and Africa. Bristol International Airport is also busy with charter flights to bustling holiday destinations such as Crete, Cyprus, Majorca and the Canary Islands. One terminal features both the Domestic and International Arrivals halls on the ground floor and Departures on the first floor.

Airport Parking at Bristol

Bristol Airport boasts short- and long-term car parks as well as passenger pick-up, special assistance, and premium rate business parking. Discounts can be had for those who pre-book long-stay parking by 24 hours, while motorcycle parking is free. Courtesy buses serve the long-stay car park.

Getting to and from Bristol

By car to Bristol from the airport, follow the A-38 northeast to the city (15kms). Those coming from the north will approach Bristol on the M5 motorway to merge with the M4 and M32, from where the A-38 leads from the city centre. If you’re coming from London, take the M4 and M32 to the A-38.

The Bristol International Flyer is an efficient 30-minute bus service linking the airport with several locations around Bristol, including Bristol Temple Meads train station. From there, direct connections to London, Swindon, Cardiff, Bath and Exeter are available.

If you are coming or going to Weston Super Mare, the Badgerline 121 bus runs between 05:30 and 22:30.

Amenities at Bristol Airport

Facilities inside the terminal include a bureau de change, several travel agents and a convenience store on the ground floor, and a newsagent and game zone on the first floor. There are several duty-free shops that the international traveller can take advantage of available in the Departures lounge.

The mezzanine level is home to a food village, including a Burger King, a deli and two bars, while a coffee shop can be found in Departures and a deli is located on the ground floor of Arrivals.
