Czech Republic Airports

Bounded by Poland, Germany, Austria and Slovakia, the Czech Republic is a very popular tourist destination, mainly owing to its cool capital city of Prague. Most people fly into Prague when travelling to the Czech Republic, although there are many border crossing points with the county’s four surrounding nations, making driving to the republic straightforward.

Prague has a refreshing mixture of architectural styles within the city and some impressive icons such as the huge Prague Castle (Hradcany) and the Old Town itself, which is loaded with historical treasures. The city has numerous museums and galleries as well as a varied and exciting nightlife. The World Heritage town of Telc in the south is known for its castles and rolling hills, while the Bohemian spa town of Karlovy Vary is also a must-see.

The Czech Republic is also known for its outdoor allure and there are some stunning national parks in the northeast and the south of the country. The country’s railway system provides cheap and fast travel, while buses are generally faster than the trains and have a wider coverage. The Czech Republic has three airports which receive European and international flights.

Prague Ruzyne International Airport is a modern facility with a capacity to fly 100,000 passengers per week to domestic, European and worldwide destinations. Located to the north of Prague, Ruzyne has three terminals: North, South and South2. The main terminal is the North Terminal, which processes both international and domestic departures and arrivals.

Minibuses and taxis run between the North and South2 terminals. The airport has modern facilities and services here include banks and money changers as well as disabled access. Buses, coaches and minibuses run to the city and there is an airport railway station. Taxis are also available to take you to the city and its hotels.
