Nassau International Airport handles flights arriving from North America, receiving daily flights from Florida and a number of flights per week from New York and Philadelphia. Air Canada operates one flight per week to Nassau International Airport from both Montreal and Toronto, but there are no direct flights from European locations. The airport is situated on New Providence Island, approximately 10 miles from the city centre.Airport parking at NassauNassau International Airport encompasses three separate parking lots, cumulatively offering almost 2,000 parking spaces.Getting to and from the airportRental cars are available from the outside the Customs Hall and the drive into Nassau is relatively short, covering roughly 10 miles. If you are driving from the city to the airport, follow West Bay street west to Blake road, which connects with JFK drive. Turn right onto JFK drive and then continue for approximately two miles until you see the airport on the left-hand side. There are no buses available from Nassau to the airport, but shuttle buses and taxis are available for the journey from just outside the airport.Amenities at Nassau International AirportNassau International Airport is made up of two terminals, A and B, with a range of facilities and services distributed between the two. ATM’s are available at both terminals and a Royal Bank of Canada branch is located at Terminal A. No business facilities are available at Nassau International Airport, but fax and photocopying services are provided on request at the bank.There is a post office at Terminal A and a limited selection of shops at both terminals including gift shops, a newsagent and a duty-free bottle store. Cafeterias are situated in the Departures areas of both terminals and a number of outlets offer fast food and snacks. Bars can be found at all three Departures lounges. A video games room for children is located in the Domestic Departures Lounge at Terminal A, while information desks are located in the Arrivals areas of both terminals.
